If you match with the interests of any of the publishers who will be interested in the contents of your book, then it is highly probable that you will be able to convince them and take up your book for publishing. Independent book publishers are more authors oriented since they are also authors on many occasions. It is easier to convince them to take up your book for publishing. But there is also a possibility that the publisher might ask sometimes for your involvement too; either in terms of selling certain quantity of books or in participating in the cost of publication.
